Fort Bend Cares is Going to Louisiana!

Make plans to join the Doctors at Richmond Bone & Joint Clinic on March 7, 2009 for Fort Bend Cares annual dinner party, a “Road Trip Through Louisiana”!

Richmond Bone & Joint Clinic will once again serve as presenting sponsor. The Fluor Complex will be transformed Louisiana style and doors will open at 6:30 PM. Zydeco music will fill the air along with special performances by Brianna James, a 16 year old local rising star, and 9 year old Brendon Mak as seen on America’s Got Talent. Strange Days Band will anchor the main stage and the Fred Astaire Dance Studio will perform. Guests should prepare to experience the sights and sounds of our neighboring state. Enjoy the flavor of the French Quarter, Mardi Gras and cajun food at its best. Of course, no meal is complete without a bit of our own local cuisine. Bring your appetite and enjoy samplings from BJ¹s Restaurant & Brewhouse, Brookstreet Bar-B-Q, Carino¹s Italian Grill, Chili¹s-Sugar Land, Dessert Gallery Bakery & Café, Eurest Dining, P.F. Chang¹s, Pier 36 Seafood Restaurant & Oyster Bar, Post Oak Grill-Sugar Land, Ray's Gourmet Country, and Sandy McGee¹s Restaurant. Additional generous supporters include our Gold Sponsors; Rice and Gardner Consultants, Family Practice Associates, Gregg Engineering, SKJ Ranch LLC and Memorial Hermann Hospital Sugar Land. Reiner's Fine Jewelry will be presenting a raffle and live auction item and guests can enjoy shopping the huge silent auction of over 100 items.

To round off the week-end, the Fort Bend Cares Annual Golf Tournament will be held the following Monday, March 9th at Sweetwater Country Club. So, if you love Louisiana and golf, plan to get involved.

In 2008, Fort Bend Cares gave out $135,000 in grants to local Fort Bend Charities serving youth. This organization is volunteer run and money raised goes to help local needs. If you would like to get involved, want sponsorship or ticket information, or know of a need in the community, please contact us at www.fortbendcares.org. 2009 Grant applications are available on line.
