Patient Testimonials

Dr. Rivers

Micheal Gibson playing basketballAfter breaking my hand playing basketball, my primary care physician fortunately referred me to the Richmond Bone and Joint Clinic, where Dr. Rivers treated me.

They were able to squeeze me in when others could not, and they have since worked with my schedule to ensure that I always receive timely care at my convenience.

Over the years, I have seen Dr. Rivers, Dr. Guzel and Dr. Hildreth for basketball related injuries. Since basketball is my only form of cardiovascular exercise, it is very important that I get back on the court as quickly as possible.

Everyone at Richmond Bone and Joint Clinic is very professional and courteous. I don't feel that I spend much time at all in the waiting room, and the doctors always take the time to answer all of my questions.

I have visited the Richmond, Sugar Land and Katy locations. I recently moved to Cypress, and have no problem driving to the Richmond Bone and Joint Clinic because I don't think that I will find a better group of people to get me back on the court.

I really love the service and attention I receive at RBJC. In 2004, I was in a really bad car accident that caused me to miscarry; and that is when I was first introduced to Dr. Rivers at RBJC. My legs were trapped in the car and that caused me serious pain. Dr Rivers examined everything and to this day, I am pain free!

dale booker skiing I approached Dr. Rivers because I was having a lot of problems with pain in my knee. I'm very, very active with cycling and with snow skiing and rollerblading. I also had a lot of problems with my knee locking up.

So, I saw Dr. Rivers and scheduled the procedure (Partial Knee Resurfacing, PKR) for April. I had the surgery done and after the first couple of weeks of extensive physical therapy, I noticed a rapid improvement. I've been able to gain the majority of mobility back in my leg.

I really have zero discomfort in the knee right now. I've started cycling and do approximately 30 to 70 miles a week. I've just begun rollerblading again. This winter I'll be skiing Mont Blanc in Chamonix, France.

tiva feltman motorbiking I run Varsity track for Dulles High School and I race BMX competitively on a national scale. My knee injuries happened during track events. My shoulder injury happened during a BMX event. Under Dr Rivers care and treatment, I was able to recover quickly and stay competitive in both of my sports. Thanks to the
treatment I received from Dr Rivers for the past two years, I am currently ranked 5th nationally for my age group in BMX competition and I was able to achieve my letter in track for Dulles High School. Dr Rivers is very professional and I have confidence in his ability to keep me strong so I can stay competitive.
