Chiropractics

Doctors of Chiropractic practice a drug-free, hands-on approach to healthcare. If you have neck or back pain, Dr. Baxter can help using a combination of chiropractic manipulation, acupuncture, soft tissue technique, gentle stretching, and body strengthening. Manipulation, or adjustment of the affected joint and tissues, restores mobility, thereby alleviating pain and muscle tightness, and allowing tissues to heal. Chiropractic emphasizes treatment and prevention of the musculoskeletal system – especially the spine. Dr. Baxter works closely with our orthopedic surgeons when surgery is not the first option. In addition, regular chiropractic care maintains the integrity of the spine and nervous system to help prevent future health problems.

Acupuncture

Acupuncture is a safe and effective healing art backed by more than two thousand years of practice and research. It is used worldwide both as a primary and adjunctive treatment for a wide range of conditions. Generally, people find an acupuncture treatment to be a relaxing experience. Acupuncture is known all over the country as an alternative way to help many conditions such as weight control, smoking cessation, stress reduction, depression, low back pain, and many others.

Aquatic Therapy

Aquatic Therapy is an exercise program that is performed in the water and is a beneficial form of therapy for several medical conditions. Patients with arthritis, healing bone fractures, hip, knee and back surgeries, chronic pain, joint problems and those who are overweight benefit from this form of therapy. By decreasing the amount of stress on the joints patients find it easier and less painful to perform exercises.

While injured athletes are recovering, they can still work on mobility, strengthening and sports related drills without putting too much pressure on the joints.

However, aquatic therapy is not for everyone. Patients with high fevers, infections, bowel/bladder incontinence, or uncontrolled hypertension are not candidates for aquatic therapy.

Our Richmond location houses our pool which is one of the only full-sized pools dedicated to Aquatic therapy in Fort Bend County.

The hours of operation are from 9 AM to 6 PM Monday through Friday.
